WebJun 19, 2024 · The OEM is designed with cut outs where the hog rings go (3 rings per cushion wire) so there is no “kinking” of any parts of the element. They are obviously plug and play but with an aftermarket you’ll have to cut out the notches for the hog ring locations and either terminate the wire ends with the proper terminals or chop the wire pair ... WebMay 5, 2024 · FYI: only the e53 comfort seats have electric headrests. The e53 sport and basic electric seats have manually operated headrests. The e38 & e39 share the exact same front seats.
