WebHighland doghobble has a suckering habit and will form dense thickets in due time. It can be grown in full shade, but is at its best in a location where it will receive filtered light. It can be susceptible to leaf scorch when exposed to too much direct sun, especially when grown at lower elevations. WebHighland doghobble flourishes in the shade in acidic soils alongside streams and on mountainsides in higher elevations.
