Webb2 maj 2024 · I mean I was thinking since it's the current that matters maybe these breakers can be used with 6V/12V/24V circuits where the currents are generally going to be drawing only under 20 amps in the above mentioned case while using, but in a short circuit scenario, the current will be in 35A to 55A range thus causing the breaker to trip. Webb18 nov. 2024 · 5 amps x 12 appliances = 18 amps. The above calculation suggests that having 12 outlets, each with a device connected, exerts a load of 18 amps, which is below the 20 Amp circuit breaker’s limit. Webb2 apr. 2024 · For example, you connect a 20-amp outlet to a 30-amp circuit breaker. If you plug an appliance with a 25-amp power draw to the outlet, the outlet will begin to fail. However, since 25-amp is still below the circuit breaker’s capacity, it will not trip. That’s why you can’t use a 20 amp or 15 amp outlet on 30 amp circuit. 30 amps Webb20 juli 2024 · Typically, a breaker has three positions: “ON” means current can flow through the circuit, “TRIPPED” means high current triggered the breaker and broke the connection, and “OFF” is a way to manually open the circuit.
