However, evaluating the size of the pituitary gland is somewhat difficult since the gland morphology varies widely among individuals. Objective WebbI (18m) am suspected of having hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, and my pediatric endocrinologist has ordered me to get a MRI scan of the pituitary gland/the brain, which is scheduled for tomorrow. The scan will use a contrasting agent. After doing some reading, it seems like there is some controversy surrounding gadolinium.
