In 1975, the highest output Chevy 350 engine was the LM1 at a measly 155 hp. Really, the only small block Chevy 350 engines capable of any performance were the LT-1, ZQ3, and L82s. WebJun 2, 2004 · OK. I type with two fingers so am a little slow. Set your initial timing to 10 degrees with the vacuum hose dis-connected and plugged. Now check your Total Mechanical timing. You are looking for around 34-36 degrees all in between 2500-3000 RPM. Re-connect the vacuum hose. I prefer to hook it to the Full vacuum port.
